Enesca springs from the cross diciplinary research conducted at the division of nanotechnology and the division of inorganic chemistry at Uppsala University Ångström Laboratory.
ETC Battery and FuelCells Sweden AB is a development and competence center established to form a national center for advanced batteries and fuel cells with the objective to bridge the gap between the universities and the Swedish industry.
FMC BioPolymer is the world’s leading producer of alginate, carrageenan and microcrystalline cellulose. They sustainably harness nature’s renewable resources to create ingredients and technical solutions for the food ingredients, pharmaceutical and biomedical markets.
”Our participation in the Enesca project combines our interest and expertise in seaweed procurement and extraction, cellulose purification and microcrystalline cellulose processing. Cladophora cellulose brings unique physical properties and engineering challenges that make this a very interesting project for us”.
FOV Fabrics AB is the innovator of high tech fabrics. FOV is a leading manufacturer of fabrics for sport, leisure and fashion. They also produce industrial textiles, from thin and light to thick and heavy constructions. Their products combines technical properties with innovative ideas.
VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland is a non-profit governmental, multitechnological research organisation established by law and operating under the auspices of the Finnish Ministry of Employment and the Economy. VTT provides high-end technology solutions and innovation services.
